Gabriele MaterazziDr. Materazzi graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Pisa and from the postgraduate school of General Surgery in Pisa. He had also postgraduate training in endocrine surgery at the Hammersmith Hospital in London (UK) and at Brown University (Rhode Island Hospital) in Providence (US). His principal research interests have been in surgical disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. He has a particular interest in endocrine surgical oncology (thyroid and parathyroid cancer), novel technologies in endocrine surgery (Robotic Surgery, transaxillary thyroidectomy), as well as minimally invasive endocrine surgery.
Gregory RandolphGregory W. Laura Boucai Laura Boucai is an Associate Member at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Her research interests have focused on thyroid cancer biology. She studies the genomic and transcriptomic landscape of thyroid cancer, the role of redifferentiation agents, and the impact of clonal hematopoiesis in thyroid cancer to attempt to find new therapeutic strategies for the most advanced forms of the disease. Dr. Boucai is an active member of the Endocrine Society, where she serves on the Annual Meeting Steering Committee. She is also Secretary and serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the International Thyroid Oncology Group (ITOG). Within the ATA, she is the current chair of Women in Thyroid (WIT). Dr. Boucai is a strong advocate for women and national and international trainees interested in thyroidology. Her bicultural background and strong commitment to education enable her to bridge knowledge gaps locally and in developing countries, advancing the care of patients with thyroid disease.
Michael TuttleDr. R. Michael Tuttle, endocrinologista e professor de medicina no Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, em Nova York. Seza Gulec Dr. Seza Gulec is the founding president and Chief Executive Officer of the Miami Cancer Research Center. Dr. Gulec is also the founding Chief of Surgical Oncology and Endocrinology and Director of Surgical Research at Florida International University. He is the Chief of Surgical Oncology at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Medicine. He is also a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Thyroid Association, and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. Dr. Gulec's areas of clinical expertise include treatment of thyroid and parathyroid diseases, carcinoid and neuroendocrine tumors, melanoma, breast cancer, primary and metastatic liver cancers, and pancreatic cancer. Dr. Gulec is a renowned researcher in the fields of surgical and nuclear oncology. The primary focus of his research is molecular imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy in solid tumors. His laboratory is actively involved in the development of novel positron Emission tomography (PET) imaging agents, as well as radioimmuno, radiopeptide, and radiomicrosphere therapy strategies, which include molecular theranostics and dosimetry.
